Ask a Framework Personal Trainer Your Burning Fitness Questions

Burning questions about fitness? Hey, it happens. Luckily, the trainers at Framework Personal Training in Reno are here to help. Today, Morgan Vitti is answering a few questions sent in by our readers. Let’s get to it!

Q. I work out a lot, but I’m not getting stronger or seeing results. How could a personal trainer help?

A. There could be a number of reasons why you’re not seeing results with your fitness/health plan. The chances are good you’re probably missing an important component that is hindering you from reaching your goals. And sometimes, it’s really hard to look closely at yourself or your habits to figure out the problem.

That’s where a personal trainer comes in. Hiring a personal trainer is like hiring a new teammate who wants you to reach your goals just as much as you do. Plus, that teammate has the knowledge to create a fitness plan that truly works for you.

Q. How often should I be lifting weights to see fat loss?

A. A general recommendation is three to five days per week. Like many things fitness related, however, there really is no magic number. While you’ll need to withstand a certain amount of muscle stress to reach those fat loss goals, frequency will vary for everyone and is dependent on a number of factors. Meeting with a personal trainer for a free consultation can help you pinpoint the right frequency for you, so take advantage of it!

Q. Isn’t a personal trainer really expensive? Is it really worth it?

A. You should never let cost be a determining factor of taking care of your health! Yes, a personal trainer can be expensive, but when you find the right trainer, it’s one hundred percent worth it. A trainer can motivate you, hold you accountable, educate you on proper form and fitness programming, help you with your diet, and most importantly, a trainer will help you reach your goals in a sustainable and long term way. Does it get any better than that?
