Framework Training Welcomes Zach Tavcar

We have a new trainer! Framework Personal Training here in Reno is proud to welcome Zach Tavcar, an ACSM certified exercise physiologist, CrossFit trainer, and TRX Suspension trainer. Here’s a little overview of Zach and his fitness philosophy.

Background and Credentials

A teenage leukemia diagnosis gave Zach a unique perspective on life and the value of a healthy, fulfilling life. The experience shaped his approach to nutrition, physical activity, and the cultivation of healthy relationships and a healthy mind. As a trainer, Zach thinks fitness should be fun – it’s the best way to ensure consistency. Adding an element of play maximizes the benefits of exercise, returning us to the idea of movement for the enjoyment of movement itself. And Zach’s approach is underpinned with all the right training and certifications. He learned his BS in Health Ecology at the University of Nevada. He became a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine and is also a certified health coach through the National Society of Health Coaches.

Training with Zach

Zach’s approach to personal training is just that – personal. He creates programs designed for the individual. That means they account for exercise history, injuries, skill level, and personal goals. You’ll be guided through effective workouts with a focus on proper form and technique. Plus, Zach’s approach factors for the nutrition side of things. His personal training programs include structured meal plans and monthly goal-setting calendars. Meal plans are designed for your specific nutritional needs so you get the right mix of vitamins, minerals, phytochemical and macronutrients. This whole-food based plan is a pivotal part of seeing results, because no one can’t out-train a poor diet.

Zach’s emphasis on goal setting is equally important. It’s what Zach considers the main tool for fitness success. Each month, he’ll help you determine new, realistic goals. Then he’ll create a workout and nutrition plan to help you reach that goal. There’s no guesswork, just a structured, thoughtful path for you to follow.
